The majority of Aitkenbar's pupils come from the local Early Education and Child Care Centres within Bellsmyre, Andrew B Cameron, Great Start. However, we welcome children from other establishments from across Dunbarton.
We have close links with all of the Early Learning and Child Care Centres and there is a robust transition programme in place to support our learners as they move into Primary 1. The pre-school children make regular visits to the Primary 1 classroom throughout the school year. They form friendships with our children and meet their senior buddies who will look after them when they start school.
