The senior Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies class has benefited from two visits from Women’s Aid workers this term. As part of Morality in the Modern World, students study gender issues and how women are treated throughout the world. Our visitors helped us to understand more fully various unacceptable attitudes to women, including media stereotyping and different types of violence used to attempt to control women. In the wider world, we also learned about how the military and security forces use women as pawns in war and how trafficking of women and children is common.
