Under 18 Boys' Football Team
The Under 18 boy's football team won a hard-fought encounter away to Hutchesons Grammar School on Wednesday 14th September in the 1st round of the Scottish Cup.
After creating several goal scoring opportunities it was the goalkeeper, Gary Booth, who made a very impressive save to keep the scores level at half-time. Captain Aden Richie led the side well with an assured display at centre-half and Connor Quinn was voted man-of-the match due to his composed passing in central midfield. Vale of Leven dominated possession and the players should be commended for not letting their heads drop in the face of stubborn Hutchesons defending.
With extra-time looming their patience was rewarded when Steven Quinn curled a magnificent free-kick into the bottom corner to secure a well deserved victory.
