St Patrick's Credit Union

St Patrick's Credit Union  Supersaver

St Patrick's Credit Union launched in September 2011 in partnership with Dumbarton Credit Union.  This scheme provides pupils with the opportunity to start a savings account which will help them gain savings skills that will be of great benefit to them in later life.  We believe it is important for children to have a good understanding of money and to learn the importance of saving wisely.

By saving regularly the children will be able to save for trips, spending money for holidays, birthdays, Christmas presents and lots of other things that are important to them.

The accounts are opened as 'in trust' accounts for your child who will receive the following benefits: a Membership Certificate, Free Gift, Personalised Savings Cards and the ability to make additional payments or withdrawals at Dumbarton Credit Union Office at their convenience outwith School collections.  School collections are just that, opportunities for the children to save and we would encourage pupils to allow their savings to grow.

When your child opens their account we need their parent to be with them to give permission.  The adult needs to bring with them some form of identification and something with their current address on it.  For example, they could bring their birth certificate or driving licence or passport and household bill dated within the last three months.  Applications can be collected from the school office and if you require any further information please contact the school.

Collection days are weekly on a Thursday at 10.45am.  The collection days are for children only and please remember no amount is too small or too large - every penny counts!
