Some Guidance notes from the Argyll and Bute website:
You can make a variety of payments at any time on the secure site using most major credit or debit cards (not Diners Card or American Express).
Please Note: Payments made by credit card will be subject to a payment surcharge of 1.8%. This equates to the card surcharge levied on the Council by the operating banks. There is no surcharge applied to payments made by Debit cards.
What can I pay?
You can pay for any of the accounts shown below. For all payments, please have your account details and credit or debit card to hand.
Council Tax account balance is available for the current year and is updated daily. Account balances for previous years are not available online but payments can still be made for an account that is in arrears. You can get previous year’s balances from your council tax bill or by phoning 01546 605511.
Account balances are available for full cashless catering schools and show the balances at the end of the last school day. Payments are credited to balances at the start of the next school day. Account balances are not available for primary schools.
It is recommended that you opt for the email receipts.
