SUPPORTED STUDY

All S4, S5 and S6 pupils have been issued with a leaflet detailing all the supported study classes which are available in almost every subject for the rest of this term. Pupils should be encouraged to make use of these classes.


S3 EXAMINATIONS

Article Date: Thursday 28th February 2008

S3 Examinations begin on Monday 3rd March until Friday 7th March. The exams take place in the Assembly hall during class time. When not at an exam pupils will follow their normal timetable. Pupils do not have study leave.


REVISION CLASSES

ONLINE TUTORIALS FOR ICT

Easte Renfrewshire Council have renewed the annual licence allowing staff, parents and pupils free access to the Atomic learning website http://www.atomiclearning.co.uk/

This website includes over 25,000 short video tutorials on a variety of computer applications.

IMPORTANT REMINDER ON INTERNET SAFETY

On a regular basis we like to remind both pupils and parents of the importance of safety on the internet with respect to websites, messaging, e-mail, blogging, etc. There is a section under Weblinks on the website which links to sites recommended by our local authority.

Weblinks also include websites which can assist with studying as we approach the SQA examinations for S4-S6 pupils.


HMIE REPORT ON EASTWOOD HIGH

The report on the recent HMIe Inspection of the school will be published on Tuesday 19th December 2006. All parents and carers will receive a copy of the report. SALT

Salt is a lunchtime club run by Christian pupils for S1 - S3 pupils. They meet every Thursday in Room 317 for games, discussions and talks. So come along to have your lunch, have fun and make new friends.


CASHLESS CATERING

From Thursday 6th October 2005 East Renfrewshire Council will be initiating a cashless catering scheme in Eastwood High School. Pupils have been informed of the new system at Assemblies on Monday 3rd October. Pupils have also been issued with letters for parents and guardians to explain the full system. A copy of the letter sent to parents outlining the scheme can be found in the policies section of this website.


New Dietary Alternatives

There are now new alternatives available in the canteen for vegetarian pupils who do not eat quorn or egg or have special dietary requirements. A tomato based pasta will be available if pupils request it in the morning of the day they requireit and cheese and salad baguettes with no butter or margarine will also be available if pupils request it the day before.
