Staff at Duncanrig are encouraged to establish and develop links with the World of Work by taking pupils on visits to places of work and by arranging visiting speakers from industry and business. Annually there is much activity in this area. A party of S4-6 students attend the ‘Your Future in Europe’ held in Paris every January. Another group attended a ‘Skills for Industry’ Day. Annually, senior pupils are involved in a range of activities e.g. an Enterprise Company which is set up, managed and wound up by the pupils themselves.
We have established close links with our business partners at Margaret Hodge Recruitment, Field Packaging and AMEC.
