Seasons for Growth
In January school will once again offer the Seasons for Growth programme.
For any S1, S2, or S3 pupils, this is an opportunity to help young people cope with the effects of a significant loss or change in their lives.
Change may occur within the family due to death, separation or divorce. Such changes can result in strong feelings of loss, which can be difficult to cope with, or talk about.
The Seasons Programme will focus on finding ways to accept what has happened, take charge of behaviour, develop self esteem and afford pupils the opportunity to build up support networks. It is not counselling, rather a small group of pupils with two trained adults who meet for one period per week, over eight sessions.
Confidentiality is strongly emphasised.
Seasons for Growth is an education programme that uses a wide range of creative activities to help you learn how to manage well in times of change.
Any pupil / parent, who may be interested in receiving more information about ‘Seasons’, please contact Carol Docherty (Pupil Support Department).
