Hii it's me Broghan one of the best students to ever grace the halls of Aitkenbar! well...maybe not the best...but anyway to be honest with you I don't know why I'm doing this maybe just because I'm bored on a gloomy Sunday afternoon or if I'm being honest I kinda miss being in the school not having to worry about getting to class on time or when I have tests...I never thought I would miss primary school until I actually left. I miss all the fun times I had and I wish I had smiled more during my time in aitkenbar or at least been happier in general. Since I haven't had the chance to do it in high school because of my unusual and rocky start I don't even know if this will be put up but I am glad I'm doing it however. Besides from that I have to go, I don't know when I will have time to do this again but I will try to make time for it even if it's only the teachers that see it or just the head teacher I am just happy somebody will anyways.

I really enjoyed the BBQ today because it was good fun and we were giving each other piggy backs, thank you Mr Bailey for cooking our food. I would like to thank Miss Simpson and Miss Watt for taking us to Lochgoilhead for 3 days it was so good. We did lots of different activities like canoeing, burn run, archery and lots more. I have also enjoyed Primary 7 very much because we have a good teacher. The really busy show was also really exciting and I was proud of saying my part for inside out good..... I will really miss primary school....

We had a BBQ today we had piggy back races and it was really fun. We had orienteering as well. Last week we went to Lochgoilhead outdoor centre and and it was a great experience. Hello to everyone at Aitkenbar. I moved up to Scotland from Surrey in 1982 and had the huge good fortune to spend my P7 year in this wonderful school, this was my only year of Scottish primary education and what a great experience it was! Mrs Watson was my teacher and I loved her lunchtime dance clubs. I was captain of the netball team that won the league that year cheered on by Mrs Shanks. Mr Gray led the school and was a wonderful and kind man who gave each and every P7 pupil a special interview and discussed what they chose to read at home.
I moved to Fife halfway through my first year at Dumbarton Academy and am now the Headteacher at a Fife primary school, we are also in the midst of our Golden Jubilee celebrations-I see you celebrated your's in recent years.
My time at Aitkenbar was so happy with teachers who were way ahead of their time in terms of nurture and looking after the "whole child". I truly believe my happy days at Aitkenbar with Mrs Watson and the rest of the staff influenced my future career choice.
All the very best for your move to the new school with St Peter's, exciting times!

Lovely photos of the new P1s, Jamie has loved his first week. Thank-you to all staff involved with the transition from nursery the children were all well prepared and comfortable in the school, the only tears on day one were from the parents and grandparents.

I cant belive we got a great report and since I have started school I have enjoyed meeting new friends and its now time to go this was the best school to go to and its so close till
we go I have loved learning hear and this last year has been awesome also at the start of the year we were ask to do a pose and I liked mrs baileys it was called " cool mrs bailey" it was funny and she was encouraging to keep us going and keep us fit at cross country it was a brilliant year.
